2nd appointment: Another appointment gone well. After having such an amazing experience with the Honest-1 team, I had to bring my car back recently to top off the transmission fluid. They were not only very kind, but also very attentive to my needs. They also did not patronize me, which is extremely important. Many car shops treat their customers like they know nothing and without actually listening to their needs and trying to figure out what knowledge they have so they can meet them at the right level. I would say that Honest-1 does that very well, which is very rare to find that the mini car shops I’ve brought my vehicle to in the Orlando area in general. They were amazing enough to top my fluid off for free. And here is the kicker, I was more than pleased and satisfied with the transparency and everything before they told me that it would be free which is what made me want to make this review because the cost didn’t determine my opinion since it was made up throughout the time they were servicing my car 1st One: Transparency is key. Transparency was offered by Terry and Matt through the whole process. I have a pretty old vehicle (2010) so going to a shop that can give me the details how it is, is crucial. Transparency in price is also important. If the price is going to be enormous, then I would rather them let me know upfront rather than beating around the bush at the end, and then giving me an enormous bill. They were working on my car for diagnostics and transmission issues. They did take many hours, but we’re kind enough to not only offer refreshments, snacks, consistent, progress, updates, apologies, but most helpful, a discount. These are the things that matter to me because when I look for a car shop, I want to be a loyal customer because then it helps both of us in the end. They will learn how to communicate certain things to me because they will adapt to my understanding of vehicles, which is kind of in the middle since my brother is a car guru. And this is another thing, when they were explaining things to me, they did not explain things in a patronizing way like I was a five-year-old while at the same time explaining it in a way that I could understand without feeling insulted, which is very hard to do for any car repair shop in my experience. And to top it all off they gave a 25 dollar credit with the discount on the work done that day. Keep up the great work. Loyalty is important to businesses but also to us consumers; keep up the transparency.
