Bought a battery from here about 3years ago. Said it was a 3yr warranty full replacement. Pretty expensive installed. About 2 and a half years the battery went bad and they did replace it. However during the replacement, I noticed it was taking FOREVER. Looked in the bay and they had my car up on the racks....mind you I wanted to get the battery replaced and on my way..thats it. After about 30 mins they still had it up and the mechanic was taking pictures and who knows what else. I then asked the inside guy what they were doing I needed to get to work. He said they check out all the cars fully when they come in. By the authorization of who??? I needed the battery and go. So, he walked out, told the mechanic and after about an hour of me waiting, lowered it down. I guess they were tryin to recoup there money cause my battery was free....but guess what? That's right they hadn't installed the battery yet. So, I waited almot 45 mins.more to finally get it and go. Now I have had the so called new battery for only about a year and it's dead and done. I called about it and they said they dont handle my type battery anymore and they won't replace the battery again. So the guy said he'd give me a discount on the new NAPA batteries they now sell. 18 months full replacement and then pro rated...A worse deal than the first one. Get this...with the discount for the new battery it was still over 200.00 out the door. Honesty is a very big responsibility to live up to, especially if it is part of the company's name. They are no different than any other chain outfit. They get your car in for any reason, and look for more problems, and then take you to the cleaners. Don't need a fancy waiting area, or a shuttle service. Just fair work for a fair price and DON'T look for other things I didn't request. I truly thought we might have a good shop here, but unfortunately...no
David, we obviously did not live up to your expectations. We apologize about that! We do a health inspection on every car free of charge. At check-in we tell all customers about it so we failed there if you were not informed. The inspections are part of our service to our customers. Nothing more aggravating than to have a car visit a shop and then break down soon afterwards so the inspections with pictures give our customers confidence that their car are free from visible issues. Before the inspections we did hear complaints about a car breaking down and why did we not inform the customer about the issue. The inspections help prevent that issue. We were happy to replace your battery under warranty at no charge. That is the value of getting a solid warranty and we do make sure we live up to what has been promised. The previous battery company changed their warranty program to only 24 months so we dropped them in favor of a 6 year prorated battery with the first 18 months 100% covered. The best warranty we have found. We too wish the previous warranty had been kept. Our goal is to be as transparent as possible in everything we do.
