The last time I left "Honest"-1 my vehicle was supposedly fixed but it broke down the next day. I then called the shop for assistance and was advised to have my vehicle towed to a dealership because they (Honest-1) could not resolve my vehicle's problem. I then had my vehicle towed to a dealership at my own expense even though it left Honest-1 in a worse condition.
Dear Mr. O’Reilly, We completely understand your frustration and share your concern regarding the recurring issues with your vehicle. At Honest-1, our goal is always to fix every vehicle right the first time. Unfortunately, in rare cases like yours, despite our best efforts, the problem has persisted. Over the past year, we have worked on your vehicle six separate times for the same timing performance concern. Your extended warranty has covered two of these repairs — one for the timing chain and another for a sensor related to the check engine light. In addition, we redid both repairs at no cost to you, provided further inspections at no charge, and even arranged free towing in an effort to get to the bottom of the issue. Despite these repeated attempts, the timing concern has continued. At this point, we believe the most beneficial next step is to have the vehicle inspected by the dealership. There may be underlying issues within the engine that are outside of what we can detect with the resources available to us. Please know that this recommendation is not meant to inconvenience you in any way.
