I made an appointment for a Sunday morning for an oil change, tire rotation and alignment. They asked if there was any issues for the alignment and I said not really, just wanted it checked. They came back saying my inner and outer tie rods were loose and they recommended replacing them then proceeding with the rotation and alignment. Also that my battery was low for cranking amps. So they only did the oil change and provided me a quote for the suggested work ($1,400). I asked my ex to look at it and he said the passenger outer tie rod had a little bit of play, but everything else looked ok. Ended up replacing the outer tie rods and brake pads, and took it for an alignment after and it didn't even need adjusting. Cost me $150 total. I'll stick with oil changes only. Thanks guys.
KM, we appreciate you coming to us. Thanks for the very good feedback. It sounds like your ex agreed that some suspension work was required and that you shouldn't do an alignment until that work is completed. We do provide an electronic measurement of your battery cranking amps. We base our recommendations on the manufacturers recommendations on minimum cranking amps. We will always be here to do free alignment checks and we will provide you the printout of your car's alignment. Thanks again for the review. All the best, H1 Team
