I paid $82.50 for a dye test to determine where my oil leak was on my vehicle. They were unable to verify where it was leaking with any amount of certainty, but had no issue keeping my $82.50. I received an estimate for over $1300 to change a timing chain cover gasket and was told it would probably still leak after that repair. My argument is that if you can't determine my cars problem with any certainty, how do you justify taking my money. While at the facility I watched one of the mechanics scream back and forth with the store manager (owner?), both using foul language and watched the mechanic being fired. The facility itself looks new and clean, however, my trust was lost along with my $82.50...... I'm sure they will justify their actions in rebuttal, another sign to me they are not as honest as they want you to believe. Refunding an unsatisfied customers money would be the best trust builder. They spent less than 10 minutes any where near my car and made $82.50..... I'd gladly accept a refund if offered, I will not be returning to this facility. I've read your reply, it's DIShonest, you had no idea where the oil ,eared from.......are you offering a refund or showing face on the reviews ????
Tom, We have reached out to discuss your concerns. The fee was to degrease your engine and to put a dye into the oil to determine where the oil leaks are at. After you drove it and brought it back, with a black light we saw the location of the oil leaks. We found one larger leak and others that were smaller. We did not want to misguide you in correcting the larger leak would be the total solution. We apologize for any misunderstaning. Please give us a call so we can help resolve your concerns. All the best, H1 Team
